Changing the game mode is a straightforward process, but it has a big impact on gameplay. Customizing Game Mode Settings in Hytale
1. Log in to your Game Control Panel and navigate to your service.
2. Before making any modifications, stop the server from running by clicking the Stop button.
3. Navigate to the Web-Console Tab.
4. In the Web Console tab, execute the following command:
/gamemode <survival/creative> <player>
NOTE: The player must be logged into the server for this command to function.
5. Server administrators can also run this command directly in-game.
Configuring the Default Game Mode on Your Hytale Server
Note: This method applies only to new players joining the server. Existing players must change their game mode manually via command.
1. Log in to your Game Control Panel and navigate to your service.
2. Before making any modifications, stop the server from running by clicking the Stop button.
3. Navigate to the Configuration Files Tab.
4. In the Configuration Files section, locate the config.json file and open it with the Text Editor.
5. In the Text Editor, locate the Gamemode line and set it to either adventure or creative.
6. After editing, click Save to apply the changes to your server settings.
