Customizing Day and Night Cycles on a Hytale Server

 

 

1. Log in to your Game Control Panel and navigate to your service.

2. Before making any modifications, stop the server from running by clicking the Stop button.

 

3. Navigate to the File Manager Tab.

 

4. In the File Manager, navigate to /universe/worlds/(your selected world)/config.json and double‑click the file to open it.

(Note: If the DaytimeDurationSeconds and NightTimeDurationSeconds entries are already in the file, you can skip ahead to Step 7.)

 

5. In the config.json file, find the GameplayConfig line, then press Enter to create a new line directly beneath it.

6. Add the following lines:

 

"DaytimeDurationSeconds": 1600,

"NighttimeDurationSeconds": 1200,

 

7. Adjust the values to reflect the day and night cycle lengths you want for your server.

8. Once you’ve finished making your changes, click the Save button to apply them to your server.
