The following guide will help you troubleshoot why your server won't start up.
Below you'll find some common causes and resolutions for your server not starting.
Q: "Players" in the control panel shows "0% (0/0)" and/or my server can't be connected.
A: Make sure you've waited at least 10 minutes before trying again, as ARK servers can take 5 to 10 minutes to properly start. In case your server is still unavailable for connection, kindly reach out to our support team and we will assist you.
Q: The control panel displays "Unknown" as the server's status.
A: This could indicate that the server is still being set up if you recently purchased it. Before getting in touch with us, please allow your server to finish the installation for at least 20 minutes. This can possibly mean that a relocation of your server is taking place right now. If not, you should get in touch with our support since there might be a problem with the dedicated server or monitor.
Q: The control panel displays "Error" as the server's status.
A: This could indicate that one of your servers' executable files is missing, or it could indicate that some other crucial files are missing, which keeps your server from beginning. To start the server, try pressing "Start" first. Try doing a Steam update to make sure that any crucial files that might be missing are regenerated if this doesn't work.
Please contact our support team if this doesn't work, and we'll be happy to assist you.
Q: When I hit "Start" on the control panel, nothing happens.
A: The first thing you should do is go to "Actions" and then press "Start". If this doesn't work, it could be a problem with your installation and you should run a Steam update to ensure that your server is fully installed and up to date. If that doesn't work, please contact our support and we'll help you out.
